GREAT COFFEE.

GREAT COFFEE doesn't happen by accident, it is sought out and sourced by knowledgeable individuals that not only care about the grade, cupping, and screen but truly care about the regions where the coffee has been grown and cultivated. These factors do not only impact the taste of what's in your cup but it greatly affects the community and region where the coffee is being farmed. For example in Ethiopia 15 million people rely on coffee and its cultivation for employment making up 28% of the countries annual exports. Farmers sell their coffee to collectors and traders who process the coffee and this will funnel down to private business' buying the coffee. Many coffee farms operate on what is considered "exploited labor" paying workers less than $0.02 per day, often earning far less than 1,000 USD per year.  This is where Fair trade practices come in which protect the farm owners and the workers from operating at a poverty level. This allows the farmers & workers to accept a decent and livable wage for their hard work. At Everblack we only sell coffee that is organic and fair trade certified so you never have to feel guilty, in fact indulge yourself because the more you drink the more the farmers earn.
